The spread of toxic algae in America led to the death and disease of hundreds

Scientists said on Tuesday that boom toxic algae on the Pacific coast of California to the south and north, even Washington may be the largest of its kind to be seen off the west coast of the United States. These algae produce toxic substances to the nerves leading to several deaths and the injury of hundreds of diseases.
Researchers at the University of California at Santa Cruz, said that these gatherings of algae that appeared for the first time in May / May last containing microscopic algae excrete toxic to the nerves called Domoic acid.
Rafael Kodella a professor of ocean sciences at Santa Cruz has said in a statement that the Domoic acid levels on the Monterrey Gulf Coast  in California is the most concentrated monitored by scientists at all, he said, adding that it seems that this is one of the largest incidents spread of toxins that we have seen in a decade at least.
The researchers feel concerned about the possible presence of high concentrations of poisonous Domoic acid in many marine biologist which is considered food to people, including the shells and shellfish (gandolfi), hake fish and sardines west coast.
Washington state for fish and wildlife management said that the Domoic acid is responsible for the deaths of several people, and caused hundreds of diseases , adding that this acid accumulates in most marine organisms up and reaches to the human brain which disrupts the physiology of the transmission of nerve signals.
In a statement that Washington state authorities said they closed down at the beginning of this month a Crab fishing sites (crab) from the border with Oregon area and to the south of Washington because of the high levels of marine toxins.
